Clerking

You will be able to Batch Clerk your online items. For live sales, follow the steps below.

Updated over 2 months ago

This applies to live auctions where lots are not created in advance; in other words, where the auction is not pre-cataloged.

To clerk on the fly in AuctionFlex 360, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Clerking Grid:

    • Navigate to the ‘Auction Day’ tab.

    • Select ‘Clerking’ from the menu.

  2. Enter Lot Information Manually:

    • Since the auction is not pre-cataloged, you'll need to input the following details for each lot:

      • Lot Number: Assign a unique identifier to the item.

      • Consignor: Enter the name or ID of the consignor.

      • Lot Title: Provide a brief description of the item.

      • Hammer Price: Input the final bid amount.

      • Bid Card Number: Record the bidder's number.

  3. Save the Entry:

    • After entering the necessary information, save the clerking activity to record the sale.

Please note that grouping or splitting lots while clerking is only available for lots that have already been cataloged—it does not work for clerking on the fly.

  • Tab – Move to the next field in the clerking grid.

  • Lot#+ – Duplicate the selected lot. This creates a new lot using the same details.

Grouping Lots While Clerking

  • Use Comma (,) – To group non-sequential lots.
    Example: 1,3,5 groups lots 1, 3, and 5 together.

  • Use Dash (-) – To group a range of lots.
Example: 1-5 groups lots 1 through 5 as a single lot.
