Create and Manage Formulas

Build and manage auction-specific financial formulas like buyer’s premium and commission.

Shortcut: Create a commission, tax, or buyer's premium code from New Lot Defaults

You don't have to leave what you're doing in Pre-Auction Details > New Lot Defaults to set up a new code:

  • While in Pre-Auction Details > New Lot Defaults, find the Commission Code, Tax Code, or Buyer's Premium dropdown field

  • Click the "+" icon next to the dropdown

  • A dialog opens where you can name and configure the new code

  • Complete the setup and save — the new code is added to the dropdown and available to select as your lot default

This is the best way to quickly create straightforward calculations for your Commissions, Tax, and Buyer's Premiums. If you need to build a more complex formula — like tiered rates or conditional logic — use Miscellaneous > Formulas instead.

To access and manage formulas:

  1. Go to Miscellaneous

  2. Click Formulas

You can create, test, edit, and delete formulas for:

  • Buyer’s Premium

  • Buyer’s Tax

  • Seller’s Tax

  • Commission

To Create a New Formula:

  1. Click + New Formula

  2. Choose formula type

  3. Fill in the setup fields and click Create

To Edit a Formula:

  1. Click Edit next to the formula

  2. Modify fields like code, logic, and description

  3. Click Save

To Delete a Formula:

  1. Click Edit

  2. Click the Delete

  3. Click Save
