Navigating the Lot Workspace

Updated over 3 weeks ago

When you open a new auction, you will see two new tabs:

  • Lot List: a limited functionality space designed for quick view of existing lots in the auction. Filter and sort your lots, with straightforward access to Details, Assets, Notes, and Activity. Read more about it here: The Lot Workspace: Using the Lots List & Selection Menu

  • Lot Workspace: meant for more editor work, onboarding lots through scan and fast-entry and seeing everything from a wider view, as detailed below.

Clicking either will bring you to the new lot functionality experience:

And if you need to go back, you will see all of the familiar tabs used in setting up and clerking your auction in the left navigation panel.

Lot Workspace

The Workspace is your toolbelt for onboarding lots through the media gallery, scan, and fast-entry, making it easier than ever to input your lots in whichever way works best for you.

In the upper right corner you’ll see the five “modes” for the Lot Workspace:

  • Import: Allows you to import manifests of lots from csv/Excel, image, or Zip files. Learn more here: Using the Import Function

  • Scan Mode: Scan mode lets you use your webcam or other attached camera to scan any UPC or other manufactured barcodes for easy entry, pulling the specifications directly from the manufacturer. Learn more here: Scan Mode

  • Fast Entry: Fast entry consolidates everything you need in one tight page, best for when you have a large number of lots to rapidly add to your inventory. Learn more here: Fast Entry

  • Media Gallery: The “default” tool for the workspace, the media gallery is the control center for cataloging by image; load up your media assets, click and drag them where they need to go, and let our AI do the heavy lifting for you. Learn more here: The Media Gallery

  • Sale Manager: The sale manager is used to prepare your lots for auction, setting the order in which they appear, and more. Learn more here: Sale Manager
