The Media Gallery is the “default” tool for the Workspace and is the control center for cataloging by image; load up your media assets, click and drag them where they need to go, and let our AI do the heavy lifting for you.
To get to the Media Gallery if you are on another tool, click Media Gallery in the upper right corner of the page.
The Media Gallery is broken up into three adjustable columns:
Item List: This shows all current items. You can learn more about it here: Using the Items List & Selection Menu
Media Gallery: This is where media and assets are housed.
Details: When an item is selected, the details column is where information is input. You can learn more about it here: Using the Details Column
Further, when an item is selected, the Selection Menu will appear. You can learn about it as part of the Item List here: Using the Items List & Selection Menu
Media Gallery Column
Assets, or “Media”, are any images, files, or links that help better showcase your item when it is assigned to a lot.
Uploading Media
Adding assets is a breeze with our new click and drag functionality. Simply:
click and drag the image or file you would like to add until it is hovering over the media gallery, then release the mouse when the phrase “Drag and drop files here” becomes visible.
Alternatively, you can use the Upload function:
Click the Upload button.
2. Select the file you want to upload and click Open.
3. The file is now uploaded.
Creating Items from Media
Select the media you would like to use.
Note: The order that you select the images in is the order they will appear in on HiBid on their respective lot pages when a lot is created from this item, per the numbers found in the upper right corner of the selected images.
2. Next, click Create Item from Selected Media.
3. A new item will be made in the Items List and will be automatically selected.
Note: By default, the Media Gallery Column has the “Unassigned” filter on. Assets made from items will not appear unless you change your filter settings to “All” or “Show Assigned”.
4. The item is now created; you can now update its information in the Details Column, as shown here: Details Column
Assigning Items to Lots
With the item selected, click Assign to Auction.
2. Use the Select Auction search box to find the auction you want to assign the item to.
3. Click the Quantity box and select either:
Use One: creates a lot using only one of the total Item Quantity.
Use All Available: creates lots for every item in the Item Quantity.
4. Next, select either:
Use Next Lot #: assigns the next available lot number to the created lot(s).
Start at Lot #: allows you to set the initial lot number, which subsequent lot numbers of the same batch will follow after.
5. Click Add Items.
6. The lots have now been created and assigned and can be further edited in the Lot Workspace.
