The Item Workspace: Scan Mode

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Scan Mode lets you use your camera to scan barcodes or manually enter them, allowing you to input any lot with a Universal Product Code (UPC) on it.

To get to the Scan Mode page, click Scan Mode in the upper right corner.

The Scan Mode page is broken up into three adjustable columns:

  • Item List: This shows all current items. You can learn more about it here: Using the Items List & Selection Menu

  • Scan Mode: This is where new items are input and where your camera view is.

  • Details: When an item is selected, the details column is where information is input. You can learn more about it here: Using the Details Column

Further, when an item is selected, the Selection Menu will appear. You can learn about it as part of the Items List here: Using the Items List & Selection Menu

There are two ways to use Scan Mode:

Assigning Items to Lots

  1. With the item selected, click Assign to Auction.

2. Use the Select Auction search box to find the auction you want to assign the item to.

  • Use One: creates a lot using only one of the total Item Quantity.

  • Use All Available: creates lots for every item in the Item Quantity.

4. Next, select either:

  • Use Next Lot #: assigns the next available lot number to the created lot(s).

  • Start at Lot #: allows you to set the initial lot number, which subsequent lot numbers of the same batch will follow after.

5. Click Add Items.

The lots have now been created and assigned and can be further edited in the Lot Workspace.
