Auction Flex 360 Cataloging Experience Home Page

The Landing Page for the New Cataloging Experience

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Note: This collection is intended for beta users of the New Cataloging Workspace only. If you do not see these functions and want to be added to the beta testing, please reach out to us to be added.

The Cataloging Workspace is a new set of capabilities in Auction Flex 360 that provides true inventory management. It introduces the concept of "Items" that exist independently of auctions, multiple modes for adding inventory efficiently, configurable Item Types with custom fields, AI-powered cataloging assistance, and powerful bulk editing tools.

That’s a lot at once, so let’s break it down by workspace.

Lots: Your Auction’s Inventory

What is a "Lot"?

Before we get into the workspace, we need to define what a lot is. A “Lot” is an event tag used to represent a consigned item. When a lot is assigned to an auction, it is assigned an arbitrary number called a Lot Number, giving it a reference point within the auction. This Lot Number can then be changed as needed such as if it needs to reassigned or moved to another auction, it only stands as the reference point within an auction for a given lot.

What is the Workspace for?

The Lot Workspace is intended to catalogue and manage the inventory of your auction, add and edit lots, and set up the presentation of your sales.

How do I get to the Workspace?

The following documentation will help you orient to the new Workspace:

I want to Manage my Lots

The best place to manage your lots quickly and effectively is the Lots List, the heart of organization. By mastering it, the Selection Menu, and Details Column, your auctions will be up and running in no time.

I want to Add/Edit Lots

Adding and editing lots is all done in the main hub of the Workspace using any of our provided tools. They’re each designed to tackle adding lots differently, so experiment and find what works best for you.

You’ll also need to know how to select lots and input information as found here:

I want to Set Up my Auction

Any good salesman knows that presentation is key, and with the new Sale Manager function you can control the order of lots on your auction and much more.

Items: Your Real-Life Inventory

What is an "Item"?

The “Item” is the actual, physical item, represented digitally, while a “Lot” is the event tag for that item.
