How this app works with Faster Inventory Management on AuctionFlex 360
On the web, Faster Inventory Management is the new inventory workspace for an auction — bulk entry, CSV import, and AI-assisted copy. AuctionFlex Cataloging is the mobile companion for that work.
Learn more about getting started with the new cataloging and inventory workspaces on AF360.
The mobile app does not replace the browser platform and is not required, but enables an efficient mobile-first cataloging experience.
These actions stay on AuctionFlex 360 where you already use them:
Clerking and bidder check-in
Reserve, start bid, tax, commission, featured, and shipping fields
Uploading the auction to HiBid
Which platforms work with this app?
AuctionFlex Cataloging is the new mobile cataloging app, and it works differently depending on your primary platform:
AuctionFlex 360 — the full experience. Your captures sync two ways with your Inventory Workspace.
AuctionFlex v10 (desktop) — capture inventory in the app and upload manifests into v10. This is a one-way upload: once your manifest is in v10, make all further edits in v10 — changes there do not sync back to the app. v10 users sign in with their my.hibid.com credentials.
AuctionFlex Mobile (AFM) remains fully supported for your live-auction desktop workflows. The AuctionFlex Cataloging app is an optional addition, not a replacement.
FAQ
Can my team catalog at the same time?
Yes. Everyone can catalog on mobile at once when each person has their own invite and login.
Why did the app sign me out?
Signing in on desktop with the same user account will sign you out of the mobile app. Sign in on your phone again to keep cataloging.
Why can't I find my auction on the app?
If you created a classic auction, the new workspaces and cataloging app are unavailable on that auction. Create an auction using the new Faster Inventory Management to leverage the new mobile app and latest tools.
Which login do I use?
AuctionFlex 360 uses your same portal login.
AuctionFlex v10 uses your my.hibid.com login and requires a team invite.
I don’t see a lot number while cataloging
While you are offline, the lot number shows Assigned when online. It fills in after you reconnect to wifi or data.
I can't find the item I made earlier on the app
Items already in your workspace are available while you are online. They are not downloaded for editing while you are offline. Go back online to see your items/lots, or view on desktop.
AI didn’t write a title or description
AI Assist needs a connection and images added to a lot or item. Your photos and the details you entered still save, and they sync when you are back online so that AI can be applied.
Are my photos saved to my camera roll?
No. Photos stay in the app and are saved locally to your phone, which then sync to your Workspace (or upload with your manifest in v10). They are not copied to your phone’s photo library.
I edited the manifest in v10 and the app didn’t change
The upload is one-way. After the manifest is in v10, make further edits in v10. Those changes do not sync back to the app.
